- Title
- Letter and questionnaire sent by Peter Lanyon to J.P. Hodin
- Date
- 1964
- Description
- Peter Lanyon's letter recounts in great detail the art scene in St Ives from the mid-1930s, and notes important exhibitions, and the foundation of the Penwith Society of Arts in 1949. The accompanying questionnaire displays Lanyon's fierce opposition to what he considers to be an intrusion of artists from outside Cornwall, who are distorting the 'Cornish Style'.
