Dear Pepi,
The inmate of the house of the dead in Camden sends his warm regards to you both.
A number of paintings, large and small, are now finished or well on the way – among others one large, much over-painted Balzac, also one Spinoza (too small) etc etc. Some not too bad. Painting, occupation of the [illegible], is the only thing that makes life at all bearable – but under what hardship. My old doctor does what he can for me. The cat is old and sick. Visits to the vet endless and expensive.
I hope you’re both well and think of you often.
Warmest regards to you both,
Erich
