Description
[Translation/transcription]
Before the outbreak of Christmas. Dear Pepi and Pam, Many thanks for the Christmas card. I venture to send you a proof of my New Years Greeting. It was done in spite of the doctors warning against excessive strain - alas I do nothing to help him, to help me. With any luck I hope to rest in bed during the Christmas days, which are rolling on, inexorably - and with any luck the flue pipe of the stove will be restored: we have been without a proper fire this year. My best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Love Erich. Joyce thanks for the card too.
