Richard Slee creates fantastical sculptural ceramics, using colourful glazes in hues associated with decorative porcelain of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Panorama is an installation comprising around 100 ceramic forms placed in the base of the 55' curved ceramics vitrine at Tate St Ives. Slee challenges the definition of applied arts with this extraordinary and humorous installation made up of a variety of animals, logs, clubs and meteorites.
