The season opens with a programme of celebrated early works showing the breadth of Vlado Kristl鈥檚 early practice from the political allegory of Arme Leute 1963 to experimental anti-military film Italian Capriccio made in Italy in 1969. Many of the works were shown and won prizes at the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen, including the classic film Madeleine, Madeleine 1963 about a tennis game interrupted by a thunder storm and the incendiary cut-out animation Prometheus 1965.
The films will be introduced by Madeleine Kristl, the daughter of Vlado Kristl.
Followed by a reception in the Starr Foyer for the opening of the display of Vlado Kristl鈥檚 artists books, poetry anthologies and exhibition catalogues. Find out more details.
