On the occasion of °Õ²¹³Ù±ð’s first installation of Rasheed Araeen’s Zero to Infinity in its complete form, the artist will be in conversation about his work. While the one hundred lattice-construction cubes of Zero to Infinity echo the forms of minimalist sculpture, Araeen originally invited guests to interact with it and create more spontaneous and complex patterns. These different aspects of Zero to Infinity give some indication of the wide range of Araeen’s work as a conceptual artist, sculptor, painter, writer and curator. This is a special opportunity to hear Araeen talk about his work and the key role played by his deep engagement with the history of ideas and his outspoken criticism of the global politics of culture.
