A series of screenings of the work of German filmmaker Peter Nestler, part of a organised by Goethe-Institut London.

The North Calotte is an extraordinary journey through Northern Europe chronicling the devastating impact of industrialisation on the nature and indigenous culture in the region. It is also a song of praise to the landscape and to the Sami people and the preservation of their customs and traditional means of survival. Entirely composed of photography, The Waiting narrates the history of a 1930s mining accident in North Silesia.

Introduced by Helen Hughes, University of Surrey.

We are sorry to announce that Peter and Zsóka Nestler had to cancel their visit to London due to unforeseen circumstances.
