An International line up of artists and curators explore how photographers have experimented with processes that push our understanding of the photographic form, from experimenting with the materiality of paper and analogue processes, to the role of light, color, composition and space.
The panel brings together both emerging and established practitioners to discuss processes and conceptual underpinnings, and to debate new directions in photographic practice as well as relationships to other artistic disciplines. Speakers include ,ÌýÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý. The discussion is chaired by , Course Director,ÌýBA (Hons) Photography at Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London.

Brendan Fowler (born 1978, Berkeley CA,ÌýUSA) is a visual artist and who lives in Los Angeles. In his signature works, Fowler combines up to four framed pictures, ‘crashing’ them together, mixing photography, sculpture, and performance. Largely autobiographical, the three-dimensional pictures combine snapshots of his friends, arrangements of flowers, the artist’s studio, mirrors, and screens in restructured narratives. Fowler recently presented a series of new works at  created with a commercial industrial embroidery machine that continues his long running engagement with photography. Other solo shows include Shipper In Jail / Ads For New Album / Six Sets,ÌýUNTITLED, New York, 2013 and Walls at A Palazzo Gallery, A Palazzo Gallery, Brescia, Italy, 2012. Fowler is also known as a free-jazz percussionist and a performer on the rock/DIY underground music circuit under the name .

Alberto Peral (born 1966, Santurce, Spain) emerged in the early nineties and was a protagonist in the renewal of Spanish art at the beginning of the twenty-first century. Since his first solo exhibition at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelonain 1992 until today, he has created a journey of great conceptual consistency and a desire for formal experimentation that has led him to travel through a wide range of media, from drawing, photography or sculpture, to installation and video. Peral most recently exhibited in the inaugural exhibition Don’t Forget at +R gallery, Barcelona,Ìý2013. Other solo exhibitions include ²Ñú±ô³Ù¾±±è±ô±ð²õ, Espacio Marzana, Bilbao, 2011 and Red, Solo Project, masART Galeria, Barcelona, 2010.
Sophy Rickett
Sophy Rickett (born London, 1970) is a visual artist working with photography, video installation and text.  Much of her recent work has explored moments where the encounter between people and nature evokes a profound sense of loss. Often working at night, her work explores the narrative tendencies of photography in relation to its abstract possibilities.  Her latest body of work Objects in the Field examines the legacy of some astrophysical research conducted in the 1980s, and constructs or re-imagines a set of different narrative voices that are at times contradictory, or at odds with each other. Her work has been exhibited widely; solo exhibitions include Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge; Chateau de Lichtenberg, Alsace; Arnolfini, Bristol; De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill; Ffotogallery Cardiff. Her work is included in the public collections of the Pompidou in Paris, the Musee des Beaux Art, Nantes, the FRAC, Alsace, the Federal Reserve in Washington and the Government Art Collection in London to name a few.

Duncan Wooldridge (born 1981, Hitchin, UK) is an artist, writer and course Director of BA Photography, Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. He studied at Southampton Institute and the Royal College of Art, and is a member of the Ph Research Group. In 2011 he curated the critically acclaimed Anti-Photography exhibition organised by Focal Point Gallery, Southend-on-Sea, which brought together works exploring and challenging our understanding of the medium of photography, featuring artists including Ed Ruscha, John Stezaker and Wolfgang Tillmans. His own artworks have been exhibited internationally, recently in the exhibition The Artist’s Postcard Show at Spike Island, Bristol in 2012.
