To coincide with the Ruins in Reverse exhibition at É«¿Ø´«Ã½â€™s Project Space, this is a unique opportunity to join Amalia Pica, the London-based Argentine artist, for a talk about her practice. Questioning art’s role as a form of communication, she will share with us some of the ideas and processes that inspire and drive her practice. Pica works across a wide range of media including sculpture, drawing, photography, installation, performance and film. For this exhibition at É«¿Ø´«Ã½, Pica’s video On Education 2008 points to the instability of monuments and their meaning through ironically reflecting upon the validity of monumental statuary as national educational tools.Â
Pica will be in conversation with Flavia Frigeri, Assistant Curator at É«¿Ø´«Ã½ and co-curator of The Project Space exhibition Ruins in Reverse.
