Laure Prouvost’s commission for the Schwitters in Britain exhibition explores the lasting legacy of Kurt Schwitters. For her one-off performance, Prouvost will take audience in search of her fictional grandfather, a conceptual artist and one of Schwitters’s close friends. Tea will be served, in honour of Schwitters's companion Wantee, nicknamed due to her habit of asking: ‘want tea?’. The exhibition will be open for private view before and after the performance.
