This is a one day professional development event for museum and gallery professionals and for those who are interested in working in this field.
Through engaging with a range of contributors and case studies, the event will provide a framework for the set-up and development of an Access programme focussed on creating events for people who are Deaf or Visually Impaired. The day will include presentations on °Õ²¹³Ù±ð’s award winning access programme, case studies of initiatives at Tate and other galleries, presentations on fundraising, marketing, audience development and working with artists, as well as a touch tour and visual description demonstration. The day will conclude with a BSL tour of the Kurt Schwitters exhibition.
