Please join us for an Audio Description tour of the Focus display, Keith Arnatt: Sausages and Food.
Keith Arnatt was a conceptual artist and photographer who used photography as a way of documenting performative acts that question the status of art and the role and identity of the artist. Although Arnatt came to be recognised more as a photographer than a conceptual artist, he made clear that being a photographer can never be separated from the practice of being an artist – an exercise as meaningless as making a distinction or opposition between sausages and food.
The talk takes place seated in the gallery with trained picture describers giving a detailed and fascinating description of key works in the display. Sighted escorts and guide dogs are welcome.
