Glimpse inside the working spaces of artists
An artist’s studio is a retreat from the outside world. It offers a place to think, to experiment and to create. Some studios are chaotic, some are organised. While most studios are designated physical workspaces, they could be a quiet corner in a communal place, in nature or the city street.
This room gives glimpses into the working spaces of artists whose art can be seen in the displays. What can the spaces in which artists create tell us about their process and the art they make?
Where do you feel most creative? Post your photo on Instagram using #TateStudio and it may appear as part of the Explore display.
